A 2 to 5 Mile Walk. Allen Banks and Staward Gorge.

Staward Gorge is a mile from Old Post Office in Bardon Mill

The gorge of the River Allen with ornamental and ancient woodland. Look out for the little wooden houses along the way. The start of your walk is 1 mile from Old Post Office. But you are likely to end up walking 2 to 5 miles, or even more should you choose. It’s impressive. Once, when we were walking there, we ended up ‘above the rain’. Beautiful.
