A 3 to 5 Mile Walk. Sycamore Gap.

A few miles from Old Post Office is Sycamore Gap, Hadrians Wall, Northumberland

Sycamore Gap is the most photographed location in all of Northumberland’s two thousand square miles. The closest you can park is Steel Rigg Carpark. Sycamore Gap is an hour’s walk from there. You’re walking along Hadrian’s Wall and on some quite rugged, but very beautiful, terrain. (Don’t forget to buy a parking ticket at Steel Rigg Carpark).
